Third stage 2015 - 2017
The new project headquarters was organized in Bogotá and the Defacto Design net Foundation was established to carry out and operate projects as an NGO.
Defacto is linked through its director to the Design and innovation laboratories of Crafts of Colombia in the Caribbean Region and with the Atlantic Government to contribute to the design of Crafts of the department, the creation of its store and the memory of the most representative trades from the Department.

2002 - 2004
The Defacto project was born in Mexico City in 2002, supported by FONART, on the occasion of the UNESCO award for Latin American Crafts to be held at the FIDART International Fair in the same city.
10 Latin American countries were summoned to the Defacto show for crafts innovation and in a meeting During the event, the network was established with the participation of designers and managers from Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Venezuela, Colombia, Guatemala and Mexico, with the purpose of developing innovation projects in the countries of the area. ;

Fourth stage 2018 - 2021
Participated in the Xl Seminar for crafts in San Miguel de Allende Mexico and the Ferinart fair in Puerto Rico with the Yagrumo project, and in the design meetings in Joao Pessoa and Fortaleza in Brazil.
During the pandemic we had a forced break, however, the First Virtual Festival of Ibero-American Crafts, RIDA-DEFACTO, was held with the participation of 14 countries in the area, each with two projects, their product catalogs and their virtual stand, with the support of the Government of Guanajuato Mexico, an event linked to the XII Ibero-American Crafts Seminar.

2004 - 2014
With the support of UNESCO and Norwegian Cooperation, the Defacto innovation program in Ibero-American crafts was promoted, particularly by holding international meetings of designers responsible for projects in Mexico City, Barcelona and Bogotá.
Likewise, projects were carried out in Central American countries such as Guatemala and El Salvador, with support from the IDB, and the Defacto UNESCO Salon was organized in Havana.
